Admission

CVPNS is currently full for the 2012/2013 school year, but we are accepting applications from families who would like to be placed on our waitlist. If another family withdraws mid-year, the families on the waitlist would be contacted.

CVPNS is currently accepting applications for the 2013/2014 school year..

In order to attend the AM class, children must turn three on or before September 1st.

Space permitting, and at the discretion of the Director, alumni members whose children turn 3 between September 2nd and Janurary 31st (Fall birthdays) may be admitted to the AM class.

Alumni applicants are given priority until May 1st.  Any alumni on the tentative roster as of this date will be admitted to the class, regardless of application date.  After May 1st, applicants will be accepted based strictly on their date of application.

Because most students from the AM class continue to the afternoon (PM) class the following year, applications from four-year olds are placed on a waiting list.  In order to attend the PM class, children must turn four on or before September 1st.

Children do NOT need to be potty-trained. The director is the only person who is authorized to change diapers.  Often, seeing other children going to the toilet will motivate potty-training.

As of Fall 2011, tuition is $140 per month. This amount may be subject to change, so please call for current pricing.

Scholarships are available from the school or from the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools . Please contact the Membership VP for details.

Parents who join CVPNS enroll in a non-credit parent education class at the Castro Valley Adult School.  The laboratory work is done at the preschool. All adult members must submit to a background check (Megan's Law) as well as show proof of a current, negative TB test before acceptance into the school.
